New qualification for Tradesmen
Article published: 04/08/10, 11:00 AMThe new qualifications for this country are called QCF (Qualifications Credit Framework) and will take over from NVQs (National Vocational Qualifications) in September. STC are first again for keeping ahead of the game and can deliver these qualifications for you. In a majority of cases they can be delivered free of charge too.
The QCF (Qualifications Credit Framework) are the new recognised qualifications in this Country taking over from NVQs, they can consist of 37+ credits for a full diploma equivalent to an NVQ. the smart thing is that you can simply add to these credits over time to gain progressively higher and higher qualifications. The really smart thing is that qualifications from different awarding bodies are all recorded by one governing body (proskills) in the one location so you may have a City & Guilds qualification in decorating and a separate C skills qualification in plastering but both will be worth individual credits all building towards higher technical qualifications.
